- How do I change notification tone?
Open Settings and select your preferred tone.
- How do I export my data?
Open Settings, then use the export option in the data/privacy section.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
Manage subscriptions in iOS: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- How do reminders work?
Pretext uses local notifications scheduled on your device. No server push is used.
- How do tone packs work?
Pretext includes two free tones (Gentle and Dry). Unlock Spicy with Pro, or grab the Tone Bundle for all six — including Philosopher, Passive-Aggressive, and Deadpan.
- What is the Graduation System?
Check off the same item for 21 days straight and it graduates to the Hall of Mild Improvement. You can always relapse it back if needed.
- How do I change the app icon?
Open Settings and tap App Icon. Choose from 10 Mochi expressions — all free.
- Does Pretext use AI?
On iOS 26+, Pretext uses Apple's on-device AI for personalized mirror messages and pattern commentary. Everything runs locally. No data leaves your device.
